Top 500 Bars 2024: Himkok in Oslo named the world’s most influential bar
On Sunday, The Top 500 Bars revealed this year's 100–1 ranking during its annual awards ceremony. After Maybe Sammy claimed the top spot in 2023 (now 7th), Oslo's Himkok has become the world's most influential bar.
Hailing from New York, Miami, Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bangkok, New Delhi, as well as from Latin America and across Europe, the best bars in the world gathered this Sunday at the Ritz Paris for the Top 500 Bars 2024 ceremony.
After the 2023 edition was dominated by Maybe Sammy in Sydney, followed by Double Chicken Please in New York and Paradiso in Barcelona, it's now Himkok (Oslo; 1st), Sips (Barcelona; 2nd) and Handshake Speakeasy (Mexico City; 3rd) taking the top three spots in the 2024 edition.
As for the French bars, several of them also stood out in the final Top 100: Danico (Paris ; 23rd), The Cambridge Public House (Paris ; 24th), Bar Nouveau (Paris ; 32nd), Harry's Bar (Paris ; 63rd), Copperbay (Paris ; 69th), Moonshiner (Paris ; 79th), and Candelaria (Paris ; 83rd).
