50 Best Bars 2024: Handshake Speakeasy in Mexico named best bar in the world!
The World's 50 Best Bars has announced its 2024 ranking, naming Mexico's Handshake Speakeasy the best bar in the world. Meanwhile, in France, The Cambridge Public House climbed 19 spots to reach 19th, ahead of newcomer Bar Nouveau (39th) and Danico (49th).
After SIPS took the top spot in 2023, this year Handshake Speakeasy has claimed the much-coveted title! The bar in Mexico is followed by Bar Leone (Hong Kong) and once again by SIPS (Barcelona). Rounding out the top five are Tayēr + Elementary in London (4th) and Jigger & Pony in Singapore (5th).
The 50 Best Bars 2024 list includes bars located in 28 different cities, with 16 new entries — including Bar Nouveau (Paris), which makes its debut at number 39.
Meanwhile, The Cambridge Public House made the biggest jump in the ranking, climbing 19 places to 19th, while Danico moved up two spots to 49th.
