The French Bar Awards have unveiled the first half of their 2026 ranking, with 50 establishments composing the Top 51-100 across 20 cities and 12 regions. Announced in the fall of 2025 and based on the vote of 549 industry professionals from the bar, cocktail, and spirits sector, the new national ranking released its first results this tuesday, ahead of the progressive reveal of their Top 50 starting May 4.

Three Parisian venues led this first half of the ranking: Isadora, Combat, and Bluebird. Yet the headline figure was geographic: 70% of the distinguished bars are located outside the capital, a deliberate signal of the project's territorial ambition.

Alongside Paris, the ranking spotlighted bars in Lyon (Sauvage, Cigale, Soda, You), Bordeaux (Le Point Rouge, Bar Casa), Marseille (Dérive, Bar Gaspard), Strasbourg (Le Douanier, Aedaen Speakeasy), Montpellier, Toulouse, and smaller markets including Tours, Deauville, Bayonne, La Rochelle, Nancy, Annecy, Toulon, Rouen, Dijon, Rennes, Lille, Nantes, and Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.

"Our ambition was to produce a ranking that reflects the reality of the French bar scene as a whole. Seeing so many cities represented across the country at this very first stage confirms that this ambition was grounded in something real," said Frédéric Roginska, founder of the French Bar Awards.
