Remy Savage tops the French Bar 101, a who's who of the French bar scene
The French Bar Awards have released the first-ever French Bar 101, a special 64-page edition profiling the 101 most inspiring figures on the French bar scene, as chosen by the trade itself.
The French Bar Awards released their first-ever French Bar 101 on Wednesday, September 23: a 64-page digital supplement profiling the 101 most inspiring figures on the French bar scene.
Remy Savage (🔶🟥🔵, Bar Nouveau, Abstract, Prada) takes the No. 1 spot in a ranking based on votes from his peers. A total of 549 professionals cast their ballots this past spring, in the same poll behind the ranking of France's 100 best bars. He finishes ahead of Thibault Massina (Amour Drink; No. 2) and Lucie Noppe (Fever-Tree; No. 3).
Alongside bartenders and bar owners, the French Bar 101 features brand ambassadors, trainers, consultants, journalists and content creators, making it a true who's who of the industry.
The list includes two Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (the country's highest craftsmanship title), Christophe Davoine and Jérémy Lauilhé. They're joined by 2025 IBA world champion Pierre Munier and by Colin Field, longtime head bartender of the Hemingway bar at the Ritz Paris. Other big names include Nico de Soto (Danico), Hyacinthe Lescoët (The Cambridge Public House) and twins Hadrien and Sara Moudoulaud (Bar Nouveau). Also featured are Laurence Marot (The World's 50 Best Bars, Barmag), Fernando Castellon (Trophées du Bar) and Thierry Malikian (Le Calbar), an upcoming guest on DistilCast. Many others from across the wider French bar scene round out the list.
