Immersed in Be Spirits 2024
Last week, Hall 7 of the Paris Expo at Porte de Versailles came alive with the clinking of shakers and tasting glasses during the year’s first big event alongside Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris 2024: Be Spirits. Here’s a recap of the highlights!
The Be Spirits trade show, held from February 12 to 14, was an unforgettable event for spirits enthusiasts, industry professionals, and mixology fans. Over three days, more than 40,000 visitors enjoyed tastings, business meetings, and discoveries. In a space of 1,500 m², much larger than last year, exhibitors showcased their latest innovations.
The atmosphere was electric, filled with excitement and creativity. Nearly 200 exhibitors from around the world shared their passion and expertise. Indeed, alongside the many French participants, international representation grew significantly with a +92% increase in international exhibitors, including a strong focus on Italian spirits around an impressive Italian cocktail bar.
The Infinite Bar: 20 cocktail bars over 40 meters long!
A major highlight of the show and an essential landmark, the Infinite Bar, the largest cocktail bar in France at 40 meters long, was of course back. Twenty renowned cocktail bars, including Danico, Divine, CopperBay, Bisou, and Harry's Bar, collaborated to offer visitors high-end creations. Bartenders showcased their ingenuity to surprise the taste buds, such as Ysis Maricourt (Bisou) with her non-alcoholic creations featuring JNPR, Oliver Eardley (Ivy) with his shochu cocktails, or the incredible Bloody Mary with shiitake by Kaled Derouiche (Andy Wahloo).
Craft Pavilion
The Craft Pavilion showcased talented young producers. In a festive atmosphere, visitors discovered unique products and new flavors such as Quebec tequila or cognac from the Hellfest festival. It was an opportunity to meet the artisans behind these bold creations.
The Speakeasy
The Speakeasy room hosted conferences, round tables, and masterclasses led by international experts. Bartenders from around the world were able to refine their skills through short and practical learning formats. Topics ranged from the influence of AI in the bar and spirits world to the role of no/low in the industry, along with a fun Mixologist Battle (sic).
Non-Alcoholic
The show also highlighted the latest innovations in non-alcoholic or low-alcohol beverages. More than 16 international brands presented their creations. Additionally, an encouraging selection of beer and cider brands made their debut at the Be Spirits show.
In summary, Be Spirits 2024 was much more than just a trade show. It was a platform for meetings, exchanges, and discoveries poised to shape the future of the beverage industry.
Mark your calendars for the next edition, which will take place from February 10 to 12, 2025.
