17 September 2025 - Seed Library New York, the first permanent bar in the city from the world’s most awarded bartender Ryan Chetiyawardana, aka Mr Lyan, is set to open in Autumn 2025. Located on the lower ground floor of Hotel Park Ave in the heart of Nomad, and with a dedicated entrance, Seed Library NY will offer an intimate escape from the chaos of the city and pay homage the legacy of the timeless “Manhattan Bar”.

Seed Library NY is a collaboration between Mr Lyan, Lore Group and Renwick Hospitality, bringing a familiar yet fresh perspective to New York’s cocktail landscape. Drawing inspiration from the original Seed Library in One Hundred Shoreditch, East London, the new space reimagines that stripped-back warmth and unpretentious creativity, while embracing the heritage and innovation that defines New York bar culture.

Known globally for being at the forefront of sustainability and cocktail creativity, the Lyan team brings to Seed Library New York their signature blend of hospitality, curiosity, and flavour, with the trademark Lyan inclusivity and warmth. Guests can expect a curated menu of reimagined classics and original drinks that showcase a wide spectrum of flavours, supported by a selection of low-intervention wines, craft beers, artisanal spirits, and saké.

The venue will also offer a concise menu of bar snacks created in collaboration with Renwick Hospitality to reflect the same ethos of thoughtful simplicity and natural expression found in the drinks program. Service will be led by a team of seasoned New York bar professionals, alongside familiar faces from the other award-winning Lyan bars.

The space has been designed by Lore Group Creative Director Jacu Strauss, in partnership with RD Studio, blending organic textures, natural materials, and understated elegance to reflect the bar’s philosophy of embracing nature’s variance.

As a venue that celebrates both the storied cocktail history of New York and the inclusive, future-forward approach seen across the Lyan portfolio in London, Washington DC & Amsterdam, Seed Library New York aims to become a new neighbourhood classic—elegant yet approachable, experimental yet grounded.
