Iodine and Cocktails!

It's official, the competition aimed at promoting and bringing together all the talents of the French bar scene is back for a brand new edition! This year, the announced theme is: "Iodine in our cocktails! From Brittany, but not only...".

On the organizational side, if it ain't broke, don't fix it: we have Augustin Algret, Charly Robert, and Matteo Rio from the restaurant La Potinière (Carnac), in partnership with Cozigou.

At stake: a trip for two (including plane tickets and hotel nights) to a European capital for the grand winner!

Here is all the information to participate in this new Bartender Beach Challenge 2024!

A Competition for Everyone in Two Stages

Open to all bartenders in France, regardless of the type of establishment you work in, the competition will take place in two stages.

First, candidates must post on Instagram a photo or reel of their cocktail, accompanied by its recipe (see below for the complete list of authorized products) and a description related to the theme.

The 10 best creations will then be selected for the final, which will take place on July 1 in Carnac.

On the big day, the finalists will present their cocktail in front of a jury of professionals during a challenge on a privatized catamaran sailing in the Gulf of Morbihan.

Then the top 4 will meet at La Potinière for a final challenge that will determine the grand winner.

So, who will succeed Axel Pencolé (Le Bar d'en Face in Lorient), winner of the 2023 edition, ahead of Dijon’s Benoit Bouillard (Monsieur Moutarde) and Bordeaux’s Laura Deidda?
