Bar Circus: A decade of innovation for bars
Since 2014, Bar Circus has equipped over 600 venues—from sprawling event halls to local pubs—making it the top choice for complex bar buildouts. Here’s how its solutions are changing the way bars operate.
From Modular to Bespoke: A Decade of Evolution
The story begins in 2014, when François Beautour, an alumnus of the École Boulle, launched the first French catalog of modular bar furniture. The idea? Offer ergonomic, high-quality stainless steel bar stations at competitive prices. Word of mouth spread quickly, and success was immediate.
The momentum was such that, by 2018, Bar Circus outfitted both bars at Big Mamma’s Félicita food court—a project that firmly established the brand in the industry.
Things really took off in 2022. With the creation of 1810 for direct distribution and a complete overhaul of its design process, Bar Circus went fully custom: single-piece welded countertops stretching several meters with no joints or gaps. The result meets the latest sanitation standards and drastically cuts installation time.
In 2023, Bar Circus rolled out its Expert line, adding bar modules and built-in cocktail stations ready to be integrated or welded into custom bars. Comfort and productivity are now the top priorities, driven by patented technical innovations that deliver uncompromising performance.

Three Projects, Three Worlds: The DNA of Adaptability
As you can see, Bar Circus’ strength lies in its ability to adapt to radically different challenges. Three recent projects illustrate this perfectly.
The Swipe Bar by Rémy Cointreau: Modularity Meets Elegance
The challenge was significant: design a bar for the group’s Paris headquarters, a versatile space able to host an intimate tasting, a workshop, or an event for 300 guests.
The solution? A unique concept dubbed Swipe Bar. A large trough runs the length of the counter, with accessories (boards, bins, grates) that slide and combine to transform the space as needed.
The bar can even fade into the background, visually disappearing to allow other layouts. It’s a technical feat that treats the bar as a living space.

L'Hacienda: High-Volume Performance in a Nightclub
In a high-capacity club, every second counts. The bar at L'Hacienda needed a redesign to serve quickly and flawlessly without bartenders bumping into one another.
To achieve this, Bar Circus created an assembly-line setup: glassware within arm’s reach, an integrated ice dispenser, perfectly positioned juice and liquor guns. Each bartender has an optimized station of their own, cutting production time by two-thirds.
The result? Seamless service that elevates the guest experience while easing the workload on staff.

The LOUIS XIII Trolley: Elevating the Ritual
At the opposite end of the spectrum, the LOUIS XIII tasting trolley had to be more than furniture—it needed to be a work of art that enhances the ritual of serving an exceptional Cognac.
Bar Circus built a contemporary monolith in brass, Corian, and velvet with every technical detail concealed. Only the decanter remains visible, showcased like a museum piece. Here, emotion and luxury dictate the design.

Innovation at the Core of the Business
This ability to create bespoke solutions rests on continuous R&D.
The Unity cocktail station, honored with the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, is a prime example. With a 165-liter capacity and a highly modular design, it lets bartenders crank out up to 420 cocktails without restocking ice (even on a boat!). More than a product, it’s a direct answer to the performance needs of modern cocktail bars.

And the innovation doesn’t stop there. Bar Circus also developed the Pandora bar station, a circular, floating concept that puts the bartender center stage in direct interaction with guests. It’s a bold vision that reinvents the bartender–guest relationship.

Tailor-Made Support for Every Project
Beyond the products, process makes all the difference. The Bar Circus design office optimizes each project, from workflow planning to installation.
For operators, a seasoned team assists with preparation and on-site work. For architects, it provides a complete range of furniture and equipment with ready-to-use plans and full specs.
On the most complex projects, Bar Circus can also offer full owner-representation services: preparing technical documentation, helping select contractors, and supervising onsite execution.
References such as the Bataclan, Big Mamma bars, Joli restaurant and its rounded bar station at Paris’s Musée Carnavalet, plus projects for Rémy Cointreau and Louis XIII, all showcase this ability to adapt to any context, from the simplest to the most unconventional.

A Sustainable Vision
Finally, Bar Circus never forgets the essentials: committed to sustainability and durability, the company strives every day to ensure that the entire lifecycle—from manufacturing stainless-steel bar systems to delivering professional equipment (refrigerators, ice machines, glasswashers, etc.)—has the lowest possible environmental impact.
In ten years, Bar Circus has become far more than a manufacturer: it is a true partner that listens, designs, and supports your projects from start to finish!
