Fourteen American spirits producers head to Paris!
On October 9, the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) will host an exclusive tasting at the Hôtel de Talleyrand. This one-night-only event in Paris is a rare chance to sample spirits from 14 American distilleries and meet the makers in person.
An Exceptional Event
The Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) is making a big comeback in Paris. After going several years without a tasting event, the American spirits trade association is inviting French media and industry professionals to a special gathering on October 9.
From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., the prestigious Hôtel de Talleyrand will host journalists, restaurateurs, bartenders, buyers, and retailers for an intimate gathering that encourages direct interaction with about fifteen producers who are coming in from the United States.

A Mosaic of American Craft
From Arizona to Michigan - via Kentucky, Virginia, and Alabama - diversity will be front and center. Fourteen distilleries from nearly as many states will each showcase their unique take on American craft.

Just a few highlights:
- Ole Smoky and its moonshines, which attract more than five million visitors to the Tennessee distillery every year
- Red Eye Louie's (Alabama), the company behind a new category of blended spirits
- Brother's Bond, the whiskey brand launched by actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley of The Vampire Diaries fame
- Desert Door and its Texas sotol

There will also be a masterclass exploring the depth and variety of American whiskey - single malt, rye, and bourbon - led by Alexandre Vingtier and Abricot’s bar manager; a bar founded by two Americans.
