### An Exceptional Event

The [**Distilled Spirits Council of the United States**](https://www.distilledspirits.org/?ref=jiggerdaily.com) (**DISCUS**) is making a big comeback in Paris. After going several years without a tasting event, the American spirits trade association is **inviting French media and industry professionals to a special gathering on October 9.**

From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., the prestigious **Hôtel de Talleyrand** will host journalists, restaurateurs, bartenders, buyers, and retailers for an intimate gathering that encourages direct interaction with about fifteen producers who are coming in from the United States.
